Privacy policy

New Life International Church (Statiestraat 149, 2600 Berchem-Antwerpen, Belgium) respects your privacy and handles personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect: when you use our contact or other forms, we store the details you submit (such as your name, email address, phone number, and message) so the right people in the church can respond to you.

Member accounts: if you register for the members area we store your name, your email address, and a securely hashed password. We never ask for or store your phone number. You confirm your email address once by clicking a link we send you; apart from that link and any password reset you request yourself, emails from us never contain links.

Private messages: messages between you and the church can be read by church staff, are never visible to any other member, and delete themselves automatically after 6 days. Deleting your account erases your remaining messages immediately.

Notifications: if you switch on notifications we store a device token so we can reach that device. It identifies the device, not you personally, and it never includes a phone number. Switch notifications off in the app or in your browser settings and the token is removed.

Appointments: if you ask to meet a pastor through the app we store the day and time, your name and the phone number you enter for that request. Only church staff can see the number; it is never shown to other members or copied to your account, and it is erased automatically once the appointment is over, declined or cancelled, and in any case within 30 days.

Deleting your account: you can delete your member account yourself at any time from the notification settings page. Deletion removes your account, your messages, your appointments, and your notification registrations straight away.

What we do not do: we do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it outside the church’s ministry teams except where the law requires.

How long we keep it: form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, and are then deleted.

Cookies: this website only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for signed-in members and staff. It sets no advertising cookies.

Visitor statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views so we can see which pages help people. It is cookieless, it does not store your IP address, and it does not track you across other websites, so there is nothing here for you to consent to or opt out of.

Your rights: you may ask at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact us via the details on the Visit page and we will respond promptly.
