About us
One family, many nations
We are an international church in Berchem-Antwerpen, part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, where people from many nations worship together as one.
Our story
How we got here
New Life International Church, formerly New Life Assembly, is a Pentecostal church in Berchem, Antwerp, part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the world.
The church was formally established in Belgium in 2002, and Pastor Mike and Pastor Boma Nwanegbo were commissioned from London that same year, sent to strengthen the work here. What began as a modest fellowship serving mainly African immigrants has grown as Antwerp has grown, into a church of many nations and backgrounds.

Our testimony
In Pastor Mike’s words
“From a Church of 6 people in an old laundry room to a multi-ethnic, multiracial and multifaceted Parish.”

New Life Assembly started in an old laundry store on Thaliastraat in Berchem with 6 people (4 adults and 2 children). At that time, we had lots of challenges and adversaries but the Lord urged us not to stop.
We continued to preach the unchangeable word of God and the Lord started manifesting himself in our works. As the Church continued to grow we moved to Belgielei and God’s presence continued with us.
We saw great miracles such as healing of cancer, healing of HIV, restoration of families and several supernatural childbirths. As members continued to increase, the Church in Belgielei became too small for us and we moved to our present worship centre in Statiestraat, Berchem.
As we have continued preaching his word, God has increased us daily. In 2004 the Lord told us he will bless the Church with marriages, that same year we had several marriages and many have gotten married over the past years. Our mission is growing steadily as the Lord has given us his favour even in the face of very strong opposition.
Presently the Church has several nationalities: Ghanaians, Nigerians, Kenyans, Tanzanians, Sierra Leoneans, Rwandans, Indians, Ugandans, Surinamese, Iranians, Angolans, Ivorians, Armenians, Congolese, Dutch, Belgians, Cameroonians, English and more. God has let his face shine upon us.
Our foundation
What we believe
We believe in salvation through Jesus Christ, the authority of the Bible, prayer, the work of the Holy Spirit, Christian discipleship, community outreach, and preparing souls for heaven. Our motto says it best: motivating people to Godly excellence and preparing souls for Heaven.
As part of RCCG worldwide, our mission is:
- To make heaven.
- To take as many people with us.
- To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.
- To accomplish No. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
- To accomplish No. 2 and 3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.
- We will pursue these objectives until every Nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus Christ.
What we give ourselves to
Bible teaching, prayer and worship, evangelism, family ministry, and community support.
Your first time
What a service is like

Expect a joyful welcome at the door, vibrant praise and worship, heartfelt prayer, and practical teaching from the Word, usually about two hours all together. Children have their own safe, fun children’s church, and afterwards there is always someone to talk to (and often something to eat).
